About the Presenter

Tony Cox is a former police officer and training manager in the Metropolitan Police Service. He specialised in risk assessment training and his expertise stretches back to 1999.

Tony designed role-specific risk assessment training, dealing with serious and imminent threats faced by officers and staff occupying a variety of operational roles. This training was based around the concept of ‘Dynamic Risk Assessment’ that allows for continual adjustment of controls to minimise continually changing hazards and threats.

Following his retirement from the Met, Tony worked freelance with a foreign police force and is now the owner of a coworking space in Louth called Space 22, which was due to open around the time of the Covid-19 UK outbreak.

Tony has drawn on his experience of designing and delivering dynamic risk assessment training to influence his response to Covid-19. Tony has applied his training experience, dealing with serious and imminent threats to the UK government’s changing guidance, to write his own guidance to members and employees at Space 22. All of which he is happy to share with attendees of the webinar.
