21 May New surgeries to help communities access funding
A series of free one-to-one support surgeries will take place next month to help community groups in South Kesteven access new funding from local and national sources.
Delivered by InvestSK, South Kesteven District Council’s economic growth and regeneration company, the surgeries are designed to help community groups explore potential new sources of income, learn more about developing a fundraising plan for future projects, provide guidance on bid writing and answer any fundraising questions groups may have.
Since launching last summer, InvestSK’s funding service has supported many charitable or community organisations in South Kesteven to secure finance from both local and national sources – including a mixed-use community hub, a skate park, a community library, churches and heritage groups.
Alison Berwick, community funding development manager at InvestSK, said: “Whether you want to review your organisation’s fundraising capacity, develop your fundraising plan, access bid writing training or simply want to ask some initial fundraising questions, InvestSK can help.
“Our new surgeries are designed to make charities and community groups aware of current funding opportunities and support them through the funding maze. Places are free but limited, so book early if you’d like to attend.”
Four surgeries will take place throughout June in each of South Kesteven’s market towns, Grantham, Stamford, Market Deeping and Bourne. Sessions are free to attend and open to any group keen to explore funding options for their projects.
When and where:
6 June: InvestSK Offices, The Maltings, Grantham
12 June: Stamford Arts Centre
18 June: Deepings Community Centre, Market Deeping
